I'm just your average Steve, with an average job.... I grew up in Pennsylvania, Illinois and Tennessee, went to Ole Miss (Hotty Toddy, Go Rebs!) for a while and spent some time in Virginia until I made my way back to Mississippi.
I married my beautiful wife Emily in July of 2005 and we had our daughter Lauren in May of 2007.
With the birth of our daughter, I found a new love for photography (and maybe I'll get good at it one day). If I'm not spending time with my family or working, I'm probably at the lake fishing, in the woods hunting, building something, watching a game or a race, taking pictures all along the way.
This site has been a pet project of mine for many years now. It has gone through many colors, pages, and uses. For now I have settled on letting it be more of a personal site.
I have been tinkering with computers since 1992, when my father brought home our first PC. My first foray into working seriously with computers was trying to fix our computer before my father got home - I had messed it up trying to get the latest game to run correctly on it.
Ever since then, I've been working with computers in one fashion or another. I've worked various helpdesk jobs, fixed more computers that I can remember (both professionally and for friends and family.)
It all changed once I discovered the internet, back in the days of lynx, pine and z-modem. It fascinated me. It appealed to both my technical and artistic sides, and I was hooked. I wanted to build web sites. So I built my first personal web page in 1995. I have been maintaining or building websites professionally since 2001. My focus is on graphic design and user experience, utilizing primarily HTML and CSS.
